Parks
Victoria
Brief
To promote and increase knowledge of native flora and fauna, habitats,
ecosystems and caring for parks and the environment.
To create long term awareness of Parks Victoria and its ongoing program
of events held in state parks
Solution
This project required a product that was by nature, child-friendly,
inviting and educational and had to stand out in a area saturated with
other stands also offering a multitude of enticements from caps to sweets
and lots more!
We researched with a group of children a selection of product ideas
and the Paint Sheet was voted by far the most fun and most interactive
product
The paint sheet was designed to fit with the educational theme of the
Parks Victoria stand while providing a fun activity to attract and hold
the attention of the target audience.
The paint sheets were an A3 sized paper sheet with a perforated side
panel containing a six colour paint palette. The perforation meant that
completed paint sheets were easily carried with the children, without
the problem of paint from the palette being transported with the completed
activity. It was necessary to ensure that the product was non-toxic and
safe for children
Results
The client had not previously used an interactive product and was impressed
and delighted with the results.
The Parks Victoria stand was in constant demand with children actively
involved in completing the paint sheets throughout the entire 10 days Queues
were prevalent for most of the days of the event
Many parents thanked
the staff at the stand for the opportunity of a respite from trudging
around the Showgrounds and over 500 were given to parents to take home
to other children.
