A core
range of products were put forward to the client, with emphasis on lifestyle
and recreation The cooler bag was selected because
of its wide appeal, functionality and fit with the target audience We
set about designing a cooler bag with character that was contemporary
and cool
We approached this product as we would any fashion item designing various
colour combinations, mix of materials and distinctive styling details We
needed to create a modern cooler bag, that could be taken anywhere and
stand alone as an accessory to carry with pride. Subtle branding features
such as custom rubberised zip pulls were key to creating a distinctive
and stylish piece It was necessary to invest in such detailing
that one would expect with more sophisticated retail brands to create
high perceived value on a relatively low cost item
A custom swing tag was also incorporated into the product further enhancing
the perceived retail value and also allowing for a personalised message
from Tabaret to be included on the reverse side.
Results
Staff at venues commented positively that the promotion was an easy
sell-in to patrons as the cooler bags had a high perceived value and
the quality was ’second to none’.
The success of the promotion resulted in the concept being sold-in to
several other regions resulting in a re-order of another 3,000 cooler
bags.
