Brief: Every year, Red Nose Day raises revenue to research and eradicate SIDS as well as to educate the wider community about SIDS. As the organisation marked its 20th anniversary, it faced a challenging fund-raising environment, including a flood of other charity products, and a limited timeframe to appeal for donations.
Solution: Wompro designed a complete creative campaign built around a new character “Red,” a retro-homage to the original “Red Nose” concept. As the product development would drive every part of the campaign, Wompro first conducted online market research to make sure the products reflected consumer choice. We also developed the POS boxes, packaging, posters, mobiles, banners, order forms, brochures, and an online store.
Results: As it has in previous years, Wompro improved the success of Red Nose Day by reinvigorating the brand and keeping the public engaged in the program. This Red Nose Day program increased sell through of retail partners, added new retail partners, while increasing online orders. The stellar results can best be summed up by the client, who said “We are proud that our items are unique, clever, and selling very, very well. We love the product mix and the innovative ideas.”
